WHAT’S GOING ON?    Pine Grove Day Camp will be hosting a job fair for all college aged and high school aged staff looking for a rewarding job in camping. There are various positions and areas that are available in a traditional summer camp; life-guarding/swim instructors, ropes and adventure course positions, creative positions (cooking arts and crafts, ceramics, computers and much more), athletic positions and general counselor positions.

We’ll have booths set up for each position with experienced staff there to give you more information about the position.  There will be computers set up there in case you would like to fill out an online application on the spot as well as the opportunity to set up an interview with the director.

WHY CAMP?    If you are going to school to be a teacher or would like a future career working with kids in any capacity, working at a summer camp has obvious benefits. But for those of you who are not pursuing a future career working with children, camp has some significant benefits for you as well. Working at a summer camp helps you establish some very vital skills that will be valuable in any work place environment; time management, conflict resolution, teamwork, patience, compromise, attention to detail and much more.  Working collaboratively with a co-worker and getting a group of young kids to listen to you and work as a team in an unconfined space is something most CEO’s would have a hard time doing.  In a nutshell, the skills needed to succeed here at camp will translate to just about any profession.
